Privacy Policy
At APIDark we believe privacy is a prerequisite for innovation. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we safeguard it. By using our services you agree to the practices described here and in our Terms of Service. We keep this document clear and concise so developers can make informed choices about data processing.
Information We Collect
We collect the bare minimum needed to operate the platform. When you sign up for an API key we store your email address and an optional display name. Requests to our endpoints are processed without persistent logs; only aggregated metrics such as total request counts are retained. We do not use cookies, fingerprinting, or tracking pixels. Any additional data you voluntarily provide, like issue reports or feedback, is stored with your explicit consent.
How We Use Information
The information we retain allows us to deliver the service, troubleshoot issues, and communicate important updates. Email addresses are used for account verification, billing notices, and critical security alerts. Usage statistics help us tune performance and allocate resources effectively. We never sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties except as required to comply with applicable law. Anonymous aggregates may be published to showcase platform performance but they never contain identifiable details.
Data Security
Security is built into every layer of APIDark. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3, and sensitive keys are stored in hardware security modules. Access to production systems is tightly restricted and monitored. In the unlikely event of a breach we will notify affected users within seventy-two hours. We encourage responsible disclosure; if you discover a vulnerability, please contact us immediately and we will work with you to resolve it.
Retention and Deletion
We retain account data only for as long as necessary to provide the service. If your account remains inactive for more than twelve months, it is scheduled for deletion and associated tokens are revoked. You may also request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected]. Backup copies may persist for up to thirty days but are automatically purged through our disaster recovery routines.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, or export your personal data. We honor all lawful requests and strive to respond within one week. If you are located in the European Union, our practices align with the principles of the Google API Services User Data Policy. We do not participate in any frameworks that require data sharing with governments without proper due process.
Third-Party Services
APIDark relies on a small number of trusted providers to deliver infrastructure. These include hosting, email delivery, and payment processing services. Each vendor is vetted for security and privacy standards. Where possible we choose vendors that minimize data collection and operate within privacy-respecting jurisdictions. We maintain written agreements with these providers and review them regularly to ensure continued compliance.
Children's Privacy
Our services are designed for developers and not intended for children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians who believe their child has submitted information to us should contact us for prompt assistance.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect new features, legal requirements, or industry practices. When changes are significant we will notify users by email and highlight the revisions on this page. The version date at the top will always indicate the most recent update. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
